So, I'm seeing that it did work. I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to post, but I just wanted to start a discussion on Perry's life story that was discussed in this section. To me it seemed to be a little dragged out, but somewhat interesting at points. Just let me know what you think. (:
Me too. I can feel Capote's relationship with Perry coming out in the book, I think his relationship with Perry is important, especially because it adds to the sympathy his audience feels toward Dick and Perry.
Yeah Perry's "life story" Did drag on. But it definitely had some high points, The Details about the Mexican boater that they hung out with during their "trip" to Mexico. The Details about his father, and what the guy was keeping them company in fishing. And i can keep going but i think this is enough to get a More "Heated Debate" going.
I found this section somewhat boring and I really didn't want to continue in reading it. Of course I did, but I had a hard time pushing through it. Now that I have finished the third section though I am happy I stuck it out and read the "boring part." It did help to piece the entire story together. It revealed quite a bit about Perry's relationship with his sister which was elaborated upon in The Answer.
Yeah, I agree with Josh and Kaitlyn in how long Perry's life story went. But at the same time, I think it's slightly important for the book because Capote has to make the killer's personalities believable which is something I think Capote was aiming for.
